This position couldn’t be more hands on in directly achieving our mission. As an Art Program Volunteer you will have the opportunity to build art kits and/or engage with children in a hospital setting while doing art. Please note, you do not need to be a professional artist or formally trained. You just need to love helping children and see value in the process of creating art.

This volunteer opportunity will take place in two different hospitals in the Orlando area.

Primary Responsibilities
Art Kits:

• Deliver Art Kits to Hospital or Facility, complying with their direction, safety requirements, and protocols
• Cultivate and nurture relationships with volunteer team, hospitals, families, and donors

Art Hour:
Work with Volunteer Coordinator to ensure training is complete and
compliance is maintained

• Facilitate art projects
• Engage with children and their families
• Complete Art Hour Completion Sheet at the end of every shift
• Cultivate and nurture relationships with volunteer team, hospitals, families, and donors

Position Requirements
● Have transportation to volunteer sites
● Commitment to monthly art hour events
● Access to email and a computer
● Pass a background check
● Must be 18 years of age or older
● Ability to communicate in Spanish is preferred but not required

● Ability to recognize problems and respond appropriately

We stand at the intersection of art, science & compassion to help children defeat illness. Our mission is to bring joy, creativity and self expression to these kids. We do this through our Art Kit and Art Hour programs. In addition to our programs, we host art events and partner with other organizations who have joined the fight in defeating childhood cancer.
