The John James Audubon Center is looking to add to our team of passionate volunteers to help spread the word about the magnificence and importance of our local biodiversity. Volunteers will work with Center staff to assist in setting up, delivering, and breaking down school and community education programs. Interested volunteers may be trained on bird handling to present bird ambassadors at schools, public events, and occasionally weddings.

Mission Statement
As the state field office of the National Audubon Society, our mission is to conserve, restore, and protect Pennsylvania's natural ecosystems, focusing on birds and other wildlife, for the benefit of humanity and the earth's biological diversity. As The John James Audubon Center at Mill Grove Our mission is to educate and inspire people to cherish and protect the natural world, by preserving Audubon’s artistic, scientific, and historic legacy and celebrating the conservation movement it inspired.
Description
With nearly 30,000 members and 21 local chapters, we accomplish our mission through statewide programming in science, education, and policy. The Important Bird Areas Program targets conservation action on 85 of the most critical habitats. Education programs based at the John James Audubon Center at Mill Grove - John James Audubon's first home in America in the heart of Valley Forge - connect more than 40,000 annually with nature, art, and history. And the Audubon At Home Bird Habitat Recognition program provides resources for landowners to make simple choices to improve the quality of their suburban, urban, or rural landscapes for the benefit of birds, wildlife, and themselves.
