The Good Neighbor Program provides individuals who are recovering after a crisis with clothes and home goods from Goodwill’s generous donors. To us, being a Good Neighbor is at the heart of what we do at Goodwill. It is why we are focused on empowering people to overcome obstacles to their independence.
Responsibilities of the Good Neighbor Shopper includes: Reading and prioritizing Good Neighbor requests, pulling and collecting the correct color items from the store floor, filling Good Neighbor requests for our community members, and carefully following lists, with the ability to make judgment calls.
We are looking for volunteers to commit weekly or biweekly on Mondays at Dewey, Onondaga, Rochester, and Webster locations. We are looking for people who are interested in directly impacting our community with strong organizational skills, computer competency, the ability to successfully interact with a diverse population, the ability to lift up to 20 lbs, and the ability to commit to at least 2.5 hours a week.
