Careline Health Group is seeking Veteran-to-Veteran Volunteer to answer the call of sitting with our veteran hospice patients. Nothing can compare to sitting and sharing your story with someone who has also made the ultimate sacrifice serving their country. Simple yet impactful ways to give include reading, writing a letter, listening to them reminisce about the past or simply visiting with patients and their families. The Greatest Generation has given us so much. By giving the gift of time, you will make a special impact in the lives of those facing life’s final journey. Careline Health Group provides quality care anywhere our patients reside. The hospice team, led by a dedicated RN case manager and overseen by a physician, helps our patients and their family make informed decisions about care choices and options.
Hospice Volunteers make valuable contributions to all service areas and are truly the heart of Careline Hospice. Our Volunteer Program provides an integrated and comprehensive system of volunteer programs that enhance and augment the services of hospice staff.
- Clerical Support - bulk mail preparation, creating admission packets and much more
- Companion Care - providing companionship to patients and respite to their family in the home.
- Bereavement Services - providing emotional support to family members or friends for 13 months following a patient’s death.
- Spiritual Care - providing spiritual and emotional support to patients and families.
