The Manna Center has its very foundation in Christ’s call to share with all persons in need as evidenced in Matthews’s gospel (25: 35-40).
Our purpose is to be a central, cooperative, support agency partnering with the churches, businesses, civic organizations, and individuals of the Siloam Springs area in providing services and resources to those in need.
As a Food Pantry Volunteer, you will help to prepare and maintain a pantry for servicing up to 50 families.
This is an in-person role, averaging 12 hours per week, M-F 8:30 am - 12: 30 pm. Requested length of service: 6 months.
Our food pantry operates 5 days a week from 9 - 11:30. It takes several volunteers to meet the needs of the up to 50 families we help daily. Shelves need to be restocked and freezers need to be filled with meat. It is a remarkably busy 2.5 hours.

HUNGER FREE AMERICA (formerly known as the New York City Coalition Against Hunger) is a national nonprofit group building a nonpartisan, grass-roots membership movement to enact the policies and programs needed to end domestic hunger and ensure that all Americans have sufficient access to nutritious food.
Our long-term goal is not just to ameliorate the problem, but also to build the people’s movement necessary to enact the economic and public policies needed to end hunger entirely. Given that hunger drains our economy and tears at our moral and civic fabric, we know that eliminating it will boost the nation both economically and spiritually. Towards that end, we’ve adopted the motto: "Ending hunger lifts us all."
