Resilience, Inc. is a nonprofit organization that is dedicated to improving the mental health of students, as well as reducing mass shootings, suicide, and depression. Resilience, Inc also works to combat declining test scores, low student engagement, and a slew of other social issues.

Our organization focuses on offering Social Emotional Learning tools to enable K-12 schools to teach emotional intelligence through five core topics; self-awareness, self-control, social awareness, relationship management, goal setting, and effective decision-making. Resilience, Inc. also provides tools for acquiring and maintaining inspiration, hope, and overall well-being.

Our mission is to teach SEL at every school in the country. It is a tough challenge, but we know "No Challenge, No Change." Resilience offers unpaid internship programs that require at least a 4 month commitment with a minimum of 5 hours per week. There are flexible start and end dates with the option to continue after meeting the minimum requirement

Although this is an unpaid internship, there is the opportunity to earn school credit. Some educational institutions require prior approval before the start of an internship. It is the responsibility of the student to check with their institution to be sure they meet any requirements before they accept a position.


An SEO (Search Engine Optimization) Associate plays a crucial role in optimizing our website's visibility and performance in search engine results. Your primary objective is to enhance the online presence of a business or organization by improving its rankings on search engine results pages (SERPs). Here's an overview of the typical responsibilities and activities of an SEO Associate:

Responsibilities and Activities:

  • Keyword Research:
    • Conduct comprehensive keyword research to identify relevant and high-traffic keywords for our industry.
  • On-Page Optimization:
    • Assist in optimizing website content, including meta tags, headings, and images, to enhance search engine visibility.
  • Content Development:
    • Collaborate with the content team to create SEO-friendly content that aligns with targeted keywords and industry trends.
  • Link Building:
    • Support the link-building strategy by identifying opportunities for backlinks and outreach to relevant websites.
  • SEO Audits:
    • Participate in regular SEO audits to identify areas for improvement and implement best practices for on-page and off-page optimization.
  • Competitor Analysis:
    • Monitor and analyze competitor websites to identify SEO strategies and areas where we can improve.
  • Reporting:
    • Generate and analyze SEO performance reports using tools like Google Analytics, Search Console, and other relevant tools.
  • Stay Updated:
    • Stay current with industry trends, search engine algorithms, and best practices to ensure our SEO strategies remain effective.

Requirements:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
  • Strong interest in digital marketing, with a focus on SEO.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Basic understanding of SEO principles and best practices.
  • Familiarity with SEO tools such as Google Analytics, Search Console, SEMrush, or Moz is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
