About Us: Camp ikigai Animal Sanctuary 501c3 is a compassionate nonprofit organization dedicated to providing a safe haven for animals in need. Our 72-acre sanctuary, nestled in the scenic Yokuts Valley, California, serves as a refuge for rescued animals and a space for fostering personal growth, sustainable living practices, and community connections.
Position Overview: We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Executive Administrative Assistant. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting our mission by assisting with administrative tasks, ensuring smooth operations, and contributing to the overall success of our sanctuary.
Responsibilities:Administrative Support:
- Assist the executive team with day-to-day administrative tasks, including scheduling, correspondence, and document management.
- Maintain organized records, files, and databases.
- Prepare meeting agendas, take minutes, and follow up on action items.
Communication:
- Draft and edit communications, including emails, newsletters, and announcements.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, donors, and volunteers.
Event Coordination:
- Assist in planning and organizing sanctuary events, workshops, and fundraisers.
- Coordinate logistics, invitations, and participant communication.
Grant Research and Writing:
- Collaborate with our team to research grant opportunities.
- Assist in writing grant proposals and reports.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in administrative roles or nonprofit organizations preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Passion for animal welfare and commitment to our mission.
- Gain valuable experience in nonprofit administration.
- Contribute to a meaningful cause and make a difference in the lives of rescued animals.
