About Us: Camp ikigai Animal Sanctuary 501c3 is a compassionate nonprofit organization dedicated to providing a safe haven for animals in need. Our 72-acre sanctuary, nestled in the scenic Yokuts Valley, California, serves as a refuge for rescued animals and a space for fostering personal growth, sustainable living practices, and community connections.

Position Overview: We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Executive Administrative Assistant. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting our mission by assisting with administrative tasks, ensuring smooth operations, and contributing to the overall success of our sanctuary.

Responsibilities:
  1. Administrative Support:

    • Assist the executive team with day-to-day administrative tasks, including scheduling, correspondence, and document management.
    • Maintain organized records, files, and databases.
    • Prepare meeting agendas, take minutes, and follow up on action items.
  2. Communication:

    • Draft and edit communications, including emails, newsletters, and announcements.
    • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, donors, and volunteers.
  3. Event Coordination:

    • Assist in planning and organizing sanctuary events, workshops, and fundraisers.
    • Coordinate logistics, invitations, and participant communication.
  4. Grant Research and Writing:

    • Collaborate with our team to research grant opportunities.
    • Assist in writing grant proposals and reports.
  5. Qualifications:

    • Previous experience in administrative roles or nonprofit organizations preferred.
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Passion for animal welfare and commitment to our mission.
