Camp ikigai Animal Sanctuary 501c3 is a compassionate nonprofit organization dedicated to providing a safe haven for animals in need. Our 72-acre sanctuary, nestled in the scenic Yokuts Valley, California, serves as a refuge for rescued animals and a hub for community engagement.

Role Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with a passion for animal welfare and nonprofit work. As a volunteer CPA, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the financial health and transparency of our organization.

Responsibilities:
  • Financial Oversight: Monitor and analyze financial transactions, budgets, and expenses to maintain fiscal responsibility.
  • Tax Compliance: Assist in preparing and filing annual tax returns (Form 990) for our 501c3 status.
  • Financial Reporting: Generate accurate financial statements and reports for board meetings and grant applications.
  • Grant Support: Collaborate with our grant researcher and writer to identify funding opportunities and ensure compliance with grant requirements.
  • Budget Planning: Contribute to budget development and financial planning.
  • Audit Preparation: Prepare necessary documentation for annual audits.
Qualifications:
  • CPA Certification: Active CPA license with experience in nonprofit accounting.
  • Nonprofit Background: Familiarity with 501c3 regulations and financial reporting.
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous in financial record-keeping and reporting.
  • Collaborative Spirit: Willingness to work closely with our team and contribute to our mission.
Time Commitment:

Flexible schedule. We appreciate any time you can dedicate to our cause.

Location:

Our primary location is at 40580 Ruth Hill Road, Yokuts Valley, CA 93675, approximately 40 minutes from Fresno State. We also have scheduled events in Fresno and Sanger.
