Overview: Operation Meraki seeks a dedicated and experienced Fundraising Specialist to play a crucial role in securing the financial support necessary to fuel our mission. As a Fundraising Specialist, you will contribute to developing and implementing effective fundraising strategies, ensuring the sustainability and growth of our non-profit initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Campaign Planning and Execution: Collaborate with the team to plan and execute fundraising campaigns, including online crowdfunding, events, and other initiatives.

  • Grant Writing: Research and identify potential opportunities and prepare compelling grant proposals to secure funding for Operation Meraki's programs.

  • Donor Cultivation: Develop relationships with individual donors, corporate sponsors, and philanthropic organizations to ensure ongoing support.

  • Fundraising Events: Organize and coordinate fundraising events, both virtual and in-person, to engage supporters and raise funds.

  • Database Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date donor databases, ensuring proper record-keeping and acknowledgment of contributions.

Qualifications:

  • Fundraising Experience: Proven experience in fundraising, with a successful track record in securing financial support for non-profit organizations.

  • Grant Writing Skills: Strong grant writing skills, including the ability to articulate the organization's mission, goals, and impact compellingly.

  • Relationship Building: Exceptional interpersonal and relationship-building skills to connect with donors, sponsors, and funding organizations.

  • Event Planning: Experience in planning and executing fundraising events, from conceptualization to post-event analysis.

  • Communication Skills: Effective written and verbal communication skills to convey the organization's funding needs and impact.

Time Commitment: The time commitment for this role is flexible, with an estimated 5-10 hours per week. Additional time may be required during peak fundraising periods or event planning.
