Catholic Charities of Santa Clara County in collaboration with the Office of Refugee Resettlement invites you to become a beacon of hope for resilient refugee child through our Refugee Foster Care Program!
Program Highlights:
- Serving 8 counties in the SF Bay Area, our program reaches far and wide.
- You don't need to be Catholic or reside in Santa Clara County; this opportunity is open to all.
- Most of the youth that enter our program are of adolescent age, generally 15-17.
About the Program: Our Refugee Foster Care Program provides a nurturing environment for refugee youth seeking an American family. If you have the heart and space to welcome these brave individuals into your home, consider being a part of their incredible journey.
Ways to Help and Get Involved:
Be a Foster Parent: Open your heart and home to a refugee youth in need, most of whom are young adolescents aged 15-17. Provide a nurturing environment and help shape a brighter future.
Be a Host Home: Consider renting out a room in your house for one of our older, independent youth at below-market value. Create a supportive space for them to thrive.
Respite Care: Offer respite care to our youth, providing short-term relief for foster families. Your support during critical moments makes a world of difference.
Please feel free to contact us for more information and to determine if our program is the right fit for you!
