The Habitat for Humanity ReStore is looking for individuals to help us make our metal recycling program a success.
Our mission is to raise money for Habitat for Humanity by taking in donations of quality, new, and used building materials and selling them to the public at a low cost. For metal items that are not up to standard for resale, we can recycle these materials at the ReStore. By breaking down items into different types of metal categories, the value of scrap metal increases. With more funds being raised through the metal recycling program, more houses can be built and people can achieve their dream of affordable homeownership.
This is a great opportunity for the ReStore to fulfill its mission, and we hope to find some dedicated volunteers who can help us make this successful.
Opportunity Requirements:
- Be willing to make a commitment (one shift per week), as this program requires training and consistency
- No experience is needed!
- Volunteers must be 18 years of age or older to participate in this opportunity
