Job: Social Media/Digital Media Coordinator (Volunteer)
Cause: Supporting families of children with developmental differences
Location: Temecula, CA (REMOTE). This is a remote role with flexible hours
The Role
Skyrocket Pediatric Therapy Foundation is searching for a motivated volunteer with social media and digital communications experience to own the creation of weekly posts with fresh content across multiple social media channels. We are looking for someone willing to lend their time and expertise to our non-profit organization centered around supporting families of children with developmental differences. We are based in Temecula, CA but this position is remote and we are open to applicants in the Southern California area. We host and participate in a handful of events throughout the year and it would be great to have this person join us onsite to help with our social media coverage. Earn your volunteer hours while helping us elevate our brand and share our mission across multiple social media platforms.
Responsibilities include:
- Creating a monthly social media calendar to follow each month throughout the year
- Producing social media content that aligns to Skyrocket’s mission, monthly themes around child development, event promotions and more
- Creating social media content, including: images curation/editing, promotional graphics, event coverage, donation requests, and content writing
- Attending occasional live events throughout the year (if local) with Skyrocket Therapy upon request where needed to help take photos and post to social media outlets
Requirements:
- Knowledge in using Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn for organizations, non-profits or other areas of business
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Google Apps
- Interactive/Social Media/SEO
- Approximate 2-3 hour commitment per week, depending on availability
