Welcome Desk Attendants are often the first contact with Manatee Village Historical Park visitors have. The goal of this position is to introduce visitors to the museum, provide them with free self-guided tour brochures, inform them of the historical scavenger hunt and other free educational activities, tell them about upcoming events, and complete small projects as directed by staff (for example, preparing craft supplies for events). Primarily working inside, these volunteers must have the ability to work both sitting and standing.
Our Greeters are stationed in the Wiggins Store. The Wiggins Store is a historic building located at Manatee Village Historical Park. In 1903, it was built by King Wiggins and was once a general store for local settlers. Today, it serves as a museum space and exhibits are free to the public.
