The Chapter would like the board member to live in the San Francisco Bay Area in California.
The HDSA San Francisco Bay Area Chapter Board of Directors is a volunteer led active board of directors that ensures all Chapter activities are conducted in accordance with the HDSA Strategic Plan, Chapter Agreement, Plan of Work, and HDSA policies and procedures. The Chapter Board is led by an Executive Committee consisting of the President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer.
The Board meets virtually six (6) times a year, on a Wednesday at 7 pm via RingCentral. Dates are: January 8, March 3, May 7, September 10, October 1, November 5, 2025.
The Chapter asks Board member to attend at least five (5) meetings a year and join and be active on a committee. Hours a month is approximately 5-6 hours a month.
The Chapter has two-three fundraisers a year and Board members are encouraged to attend. Board members are also encouraged to be involved in the annual Huntington's Disease Family Education Day.

The Huntington's Disease Society of America (HDSA) is the premier nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the lives of everyone affected by Huntington’s disease. The HDSA San Francisco Bay Area Chapter provides support to the local Huntington's Disease (HD) community by hosting fundraisers, education days, outreach programs, HD clinics at Stanford University and University of California, San Francisco.
