Drivers deliver meals Monday through Friday. We have three types of routes: courier, daily, and bulk. Each type goes out at a different time.
Courier drivers leave Fresh Meals On Wheels at 10:45 a.m. taking multiple routes to drop sites in Plymouth, Oostburg and Waldo where they meet the daily route drivers at 11:10 a.m. These routes take 60-90 minutes to complete. Courier drivers use FMOW vehicles.
Daily route drivers pick up meals at 11:10 a.m. at Fresh Meals On Wheels, Redeemer Lutheran Church in Plymouth, Oostburg State Bank in Oostburg, or Waldo State Bank in Waldo. These routes take no more than an hour to complete. When finished, drivers leave the empty bags and baskets inside at their pick up location. Daily route drivers use their own vehicles.
Bulk route drivers pick up meals at 12:15 p.m. at Fresh Meals On Wheels. These routes take up to two hours to complete. Bulk route drivers use FMOW vehicles.
The wellness check, personal interaction and smiles volunteers provide give clients a social and emotional boost, which is at least as important as the food they are getting! Volunteers must be 18 or older, have a vehicle, a valid driver’s license, and proof of current auto insurance.

Mission Statement
Our mission is to provide delicious, nourishing meals and wellness checks for those who are unable to obtain or prepare proper nutritional meals, regardless of race, color, ability, national origin, age or income.
Description
We provide tasty, nutritious, home-delivered meals to Sheboygan County’s elderly, disabled, and home-bound residents with no waiting list or income restrictions. Meals are made daily in our Christopher Family Kitchen using fresh, local ingredients from the Meals On Wheels gardens, or donated by local farmers and gardeners. In addition to providing meals, volunteer visits and phone calls serve as wellness checks and offer much needed social interaction for clients each day. This "more than a meal" approach provides peace of mind for clients and their families. Meals On Wheels is continually working to find new ways to improve clients’ health and well-being through partnerships with local healthcare, academic and service organizations.
