Connected To Culture, Inc. is seeking an enthusiastic Volunteer User Researcher to contribute valuable insights to the development of our innovative C2C Travel App for iOS and Android. This individual will play a key role in understanding user needs, behaviors, and preferences to enhance the overall user experience. This is a volunteer position.
Responsibilities:
- **User-Centric Research:** Conduct user interviews, surveys, and usability testing to gather insights on user preferences and behaviors for the C2C Travel App.
- **Data Analysis:** Analyze research data to identify patterns, trends, and areas for improvement in the app's design and functionality.
- **Feedback Integration:** Collaborate with the development team to integrate user feedback into the C2C Travel App development process.
- **Persona Development:** Create user personas based on research findings to inform design decisions and user-centric features.
- **Usability Testing:** Plan and execute usability testing sessions to identify usability issues and propose solutions.
- **Competitor Analysis:** Stay informed about industry trends, conduct competitor analysis, and provide recommendations for improvement.
- **Communication:** Effectively communicate research findings and insights to the C2C Travel App project team.
Requirements:
- **Experience:** Previous experience in user research, usability testing, or related roles.
- **Analytical Skills:** Strong analytical and data interpretation skills to derive meaningful insights.
- **Empathy:** Ability to empathize with users and translate their needs into actionable recommendations.
- **Communication:** Excellent communication skills to convey research findings and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- **Tech-Savvy:** Familiarity with mobile app development processes and technologies is a plus.
- **Adaptability:** Ability to adapt research methodologies to the evolving needs of the C2C Travel App project.

This new appreciation for African culture has sparked a new found interest in the food we eat, the clothes we wear and how we live our lives. For far too long, what is portrayed about African culture has been told from the lens of outsiders with very little connection to the people who live on the land. With advancements in DNA research, people all over the world are able to accurately find out if they have African ancestry. This is life changing for some many people who’s history was practically erased as a result of the Trans Atlantic Slave Trade.
