Dunk4Dreams is a non-profit organization whose mission is to support basketball-focused and technology-access programs for youth.

Job Summary

As a Textile Designer for Dunk4Dreams, you will be instrumental in developing and creating innovative and appealing designs for our basketball merchandise. You will work closely with our product development and marketing teams to create designs that resonate with our audience and align with our mission. Your creativity and expertise in textile design will be crucial in establishing a unique and attractive product line that supports our goals.

Responsibilities:

- Design and develop textile patterns and prints for basketball merchandise, including apparel and accessories.

- Collaborate with the product development team to ensure design feasibility and production quality.

- Stay abreast of current trends in sports fashion and incorporate these trends into designs.

- Work closely with manufacturers to ensure design integrity and quality in the final product.

- Contribute to the selection of fabrics and materials that align with our sustainability and quality standards.

- Participate in product development meetings, providing creative input and design expertise.

- Ensure that designs meet budgetary constraints and production timelines.

Technical Skills:

- Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.

- Strong understanding of textile printing techniques and fabric behavior.

- Knowledge of color theory and textile design principles.

- Ability to create detailed technical drawings and specifications for production.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Textile Design, Fashion Design, or related field.

- At least 1 year of experience in textile or fashion design, preferably in sports or athletic wear.

- Strong portfolio showcasing design skills and previous work.

- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
