CuriOdyssey is home to approximately 100 non-releasable animals that depend on our Wildlife Department for exceptional daily care. As a Wildlife Aide, you'll assist our professional Keepers in maintaining healthy diets and ensuring clean, safe living environments for all our animals.
Major Responsibilities:
Assist Animal Keepers with cleaning and maintaining animal exhibits
Assist with diet preparation
Help keep the commissary tidy and organized-clean tools and equipment
Assist with animal enrichment as needed
Assist Keepers with other Wildlife Department activities as needed
Qualifications/Skills Required:
Must be at least 18 years old
Previous experience with wildlife is helpful but optional
Proof of current tetanus shot
Interest in wildlife and the environment
Take and follow oral and written instructions well
Hard-working, reliable, flexible, and energetic
Must be willing to do light to heavy cleaning. This position requires physical labor-frequent bending and lifting
Apply a DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) lens when engaging with children, ensuring fair and equitable treatment. Avoid over-policing children and strive to understand and respect the diverse backgrounds and experiences of all children.
