Help us brighten lives for area patients by providing a positive, rewarding experience for donors at Vitalant’s one-day Mobile Blood Drives and our Donation Centers.

We're looking for volunteers that are committed to giving back to their communities and helping us in our mission to save lives.

Responsibilities may include:

  • Welcome and check-in donors
  • Explain the donation process and answer any non-medical/eligibility questions
  • Manage donor flow when needed
  • Provide courteous communication and assistance to donors and staff
  • Assist with set up and help maintain cleanliness in Reception and Refreshment areas
  • Provide donors with refreshments after donating
  • Report any possible adverse post-donation reactions to staff

Description

Vitalant ("Vye-TAL-ent") is the nation’s largest independent, nonprofit blood services provider exclusively focused on providing lifesaving blood and comprehensive transfusion medicine services for about 900 hospitals and their patients across the U.S. Every day, Vitalant needs to collect about 5,300 blood, platelet and plasma donations to help save lives.
