Board Recruitment Announcement
The English Learning Center Denver (ELC) is seeking volunteer leaders to join its dynamic board of directors.
Board members are actively involved in organizational governance, and are expected to attend monthly board meetings, either in-person or by teleconference. Each board member is also expected to serve on at least one committee. Committees meet by teleconference once per month for about one hour. Members are also expected to make a personal financial contribution or solicit personal or corporate funds.
The board would benefit from a variety of skills such as accounting, fundraising, grant research, marketing, and legal. We are also looking for candidates who are active in the Denver metro community. While having board members with experience in these areas is beneficial to the ELC, it is not absolutely required. If you have a passion to serve and learn, please consider applying.

Description
We are an English Language school that provides classes to anyone who want to improve their english skills. We are a very affortable program that offers classes for less than $1.00 an hour. Our classes are Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays in the morning from 9:30 until 11:30. We have served more than 1500 students from over 35 countries. All of our teachers and assistants are volunteers and come from backgrounds as varies as law, medicine, social work, information technology, social work, teaching and many others. We welcome everyone to come visit our school and see our program.
