Job Title: Volunteer Business Operations Associate
Location: Remote/Online
Duration: Flexible, Minimum 6-month commitment requested.

About Us: Emerging Markets Investors Alliance is a dynamic and passionate nonprofit organization dedicated to enabling institutional emerging market investors to support good governance, promote sustainable development, and improve investment performance in the governments and companies in which they invest. We are committed to making a positive impact in the world and are seeking a Volunteer HubSpot Administrator to help us streamline our customer relationship management efforts and digital marketing
Position Overview:
As a Volunteer Business Operations Associate, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth functioning of our organization. You will be responsible for building systems and implementing efficient processes to support our mission. You will gain hands-on experience in business processes while making a positive impact within our organization.
Key Responsibilities: This role involves a diverse set of responsibilities, including but not limited to process improvement, data analysis, and project management. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented and analytical individual with a strong passion for efficiency and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with leadership to identify and implement process improvements and contribute ideas for continuous improvement.
- Assist in the development and documentation of standard operating procedures.
- Maintain and update operational documents.
- Support project management initiatives and contribute to the successful execution of key projects by building and maintaining projects and workflows in Asana
- Provide operational support to various departments as needed
- Maintain tech stack settings
- Support other operational functions as needed
Qualifications:
- Strong organizational skills and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent follow through with and ability to work independently
- Familiarity or willingness to learn Asana & Hubspot
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

Description
Issue Focus: The Alliance focuses on ensuring that (1) government revenues are used to deliver public services to citizens rather than siphoned off by corruption and (2) corporate practices meet high standards for anti-corruption, human rights and animal welfare, and environmental sustainability. In particular, the Alliance has the following work streams: (1) government debt and fiscal governance, (2) oil & mining sector, (3) agricultural sector, and (5) environmental/social/governance (ESG) integration into the investment process.
Activities: The Alliance’s primary activities include (1) organizing educational events for investors, (2) producing research on ESG issues, and (3) organizing forums where investors and policy experts can engage with corporate or government officials.
