Gain editing skill working with an editor - director on a documentary set in Lawrence, MA about climate change and environmental justice. The main area is translating, subtitling footage and learning to cut scenes.

If interested, there are many other tasks, including interviewing, helping to set up shoots (going on one if interested) and many other documentary related jobs.

Part of the work can be remote, but to make it worthwhile you need to have some in-person work sessions with the editor, located in Tribeca, NYC. If you don't know anything about editing, but are interested in filmmaking, you may apply, but specify you will take the extra time to get up to speed on skills though tutorials.

A flexible commitment of 10 hours is necessary, ideally some more. From experience we know it's necessary for it to be a worthwhile experience. Weekend work is ok.

NOTE If you are a student looking for a summer internship, we offer college credit

Cine Qua Non, Inc./Incite Pictures is a nonprofit documentary film company dedicated to producing high profile documentaries on social and cultural issues.

AGAIN
Spanish - English speaking is essential.

Ideally you have, or can get, premiere pro to work on.

We are sorry we cannot answer candidates, but please know we're aware of, and appreciate, your application.

We file all likely candidates for future reference.

Check back with us in the future if still interested.

If you don't have editing experience, but do want to learn about film, it's possible to do this but you would have to stress in your application that you will spend additional time needed to get up to speed.
