HarmonyCares Hospice is looking for a motivated volunteer to complete a weekly "check-in" on the supply and medication needs of our patients. This check in is done via phone and can either be done at the HarmonyCares Hospice office or at home using your personal device.

After completing "tuck in calls" volunteer(s)would update "Tuck-in" log.

While this call is made Wednesday between 1pm - 5 pm or Thursday between 10:00am - 1 pm, times can vary based on volunteer availability.

Description

HarmonyCares Hospice of Lansing provides patients with a terminal illness, with a life expectancy of 6 months or less, the specialized care needed at end of life. Volunteers provide a wide range of activities across several counties including Ingham, Shiawassee, Clinton, Jackson, and Eaton. Volunteers can sign up to provide companionship, emotional support, supportive presence, light housekeeping, lawn/ pet care, and MUCH MUCH MORE!

REQUIREMENTS

  • Driver's License Needed
  • Background Check
  • Must be at least 18
  • Orientation or Training
  • Looking for a volunteer who can give 2 hours a week on Wednesdays between 12 - 5 or Thursday between 10am-1pm
  • Since we are working with an at risk population, all volunteers will be required to undergo a drug screening, TB testing, fingerprinting, and background check. All testing is set up and paid for by HarmonyCares Hospice.
