Administrative Volunteer for Hospice (Remote for Orange County)

Anchor Health is currently seeking kind and compassionate administrative Volunteers to help remotely from their home.

Time commitment: 1 or 2 hours on Tuesday and/or Thursday mornings each week; anytime between 9am and 12pm.

Volunteers will be making phone calls from their home to check in with our patients' caregivers to see if they have any new supply or medication needs each week, then entering the gathered information on a spreadsheet, and creating a report for each call made. General familiarity with website navigation and Excel is helpful.

Sometimes our patients have a difficult time hearing, so being fluent in English and having a calm and clear speaking voice are key. If you speak Spanish fluently as a second language, that's extremely helpful too, but is not required.

This is a perfect volunteer position for a retired person, a caregiver who is home while the kids are at school, or someone who works from home and has a flexible schedule.

Volunteering with Hospice will give you an opportunity to truly make a difference in another person's life. Every minute you volunteer directly with patients or indirectly administratively helps our patients, their families, and those who care for them.

How do you get started?

Let me know you're interested, and I will give you a call! You will receive an orientation to hospice concepts as well as training for your administrative help, and you will be well-supported and greatly appreciated by patients, their families, and the entire Anchor Health Hospice team.
