Mission Statement

The Set Me Free Project's mission is to stop human trafficking before it starts by providing prevention education to all ages.

Description

The Set Me Free Project is a nonprofit organization that is focused on the prevention education of human trafficking. Our mission is to stop human trafficking before it starts by providing prevention education to all ages. Prevention education is the key to stopping human trafficking. Unfortunately, most schools lack the resources to provide this education themselves. The Set Me Free Project strives to fill that need. We provide age-appropriate, interactive presentations to youth and present to adults in every facet of the community. For every audience, we offer tools, resources, and, when needed, referrals to services. The Set Me Free Project’s "READY to Stand Curriculum(tm)." This research-based curriculum has age-appropriate material for youth in third grade through college. The lessons begin with education on the importance of human dignity and value, social media safety, and consent, with the topic of human trafficking introduced in seventh grade. This curriculum is the product of our past years’ experience in prevention education, detailed research, and feedback from experts in the human trafficking field, survivors, and our audiences. We want every youth to see themselves in our curriculum. Our goal is to continue to improve and expand our abilities to serve, protect, and be a voice for the voiceless. For more information, check out our website. We'd love for you to join our fight!
