Time Commitment: 5:00 PM - 10:00 PM (Shifts may vary)
Overview
The 2025 Day of Empathy: Justice Beyond Sentences is an impactful event hosted by The Wright Cause Urban Youth Conservation (TWCUYC) in Fort Worth, Texas. This event will bring together community members, advocates, and policymakers to discuss excessive sentencing and connect individuals with essential resources through a community resource fair.
We are seeking dedicated volunteers to help ensure a seamless and meaningful experience for all attendees. As a volunteer, you will play a key role in creating a welcoming and organized event that fosters engagement, education, and action.
Volunteer Roles & Responsibilities
Event Setup & Breakdown
* Assist in setting up tables, chairs, signage, and decorations.
* Ensure all materials and equipment are ready for use.
* Help break down and clean up after the event.
Greeters & Registration
* Welcome attendees and provide event materials.
* Check in guests and distribute name badges.
* Answer questions and direct attendees to different areas.
Resource Fair Assistants
* Support community organizations hosting tables.
* Distribute materials and facilitate engagement with attendees.
* Ensure exhibitors have everything they need.
Food & Beverage Assistants
* Help with food distribution and setup.
* Monitor supplies and maintain cleanliness in serving areas.
Parking & Traffic Control
* Direct vehicles and pedestrians to designated areas.
* Ensure a safe and organized parking experience for attendees.
Photography & Videography
* Capture key moments throughout the event.
* Record panel discussions and interactions for post-event content.
* Experience in photography/videography preferred.
General Support & Floaters
* Assist wherever needed to keep the event running smoothly.
* Fill in for other roles as needed.
Volunteer Qualifications
* Must be at least 15 years old.
* Friendly, welcoming attitude with strong communication skills.
* Ability to work as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
* Reliable and committed to assigned tasks.

Through our unwavering commitment to youth empowerment, The Wright Cause Urban Youth Conservation strives to provide support, guidance, and opportunity for youth. We are dedicated to creating a future where every young person’s potential is realized, their dreams are celebrated, and their voices are amplified.
Resilience Rising- Transitional Housing for Youth Impacted by HIV- We are committed to providing a haven and empowering opportunities for young adults aged 18-24 whom HIV impacts. We believe in their strength, resilience, and ability to overcome challenges. The young adults participating in Resilience Rising may be impacted by HIV in various ways, even if they are not HIV-positive.
One Hour, Infinite Impact- We believe in the power of youth to create positive change in their communities. Our program, "One Hour, Infinite Impact," is designed to engage and empower young people to serve their assigned communities in the most needed areas of the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
EmpowerED for Life -Our goal is to transform the lives of at-risk youth and individuals with a history in the criminal justice system. Our program, "EmpowerED for Life," is dedicated to reducing recidivism, preventing prison involvement, and equipping participants with crucial life skills, including soft skills.

REQUIREMENTS
- This is a Done in a Day opportunity and there is no prior training or ongoing commitment needed.
- Must be at least 15
- Volunteers are needed from 5 PM to 10 PM. A brief orientation will be provided to ensure you are well-prepared for your assigned tasks.
