"You cannot do a kindness too soon, for you never know how soon it will be too late." -Ralph Waldo Emerson
Bristol Hospice provides end of life care, and volunteers are integral parts of the teams that care for each patient. You can be a companion and friend for a patient on hospice. Hospice volunteers can also work in the agency office doing various support projects.
Your volunteer time is flexible and valued! When you are a part of the Bristol Volunteer Team, you receive training, support, a network of fellow volunteers and staff, and the knowledge that you have comforted someone on their final journey.
At Bristol, we care deeply about our community and those we serve. We are actively seeking volunteers and Veteran volunteers for our Vet to Vet volunteer program. If this sounds like what you're looking for, get in touch! We can't wait to meet you.

Bristol Hospice Lancaster promotes quality and comprehensive hospice care for our patients, families, and communities. We are licensed in accordance with state and federal hospice regulations.
Bristol Hospice Lancaster, provides a wide-range of services to meet the physical, psychosocial, and spiritual needs of individuals at the end of life. Volunteers are an integral part of hospice care. Whether it’s providing companionship to a person in the final months and weeks of life, or offering support to their family members and caregivers, the contributions of volunteers are essential to the hospice team.
Every hospice relies on volunteer support to provide excellent end-of-life care to each patient and family. By being a hospice volunteer, you can gain great personal satisfaction from knowing that you have made a difference in another person’s life.
Bristol Hospice provides training and supervision. We ask that surviving family members who wish to join volunteer staff wait a minimum of (1) year following the death of their loved one.
