Do you want to help an older adult stay connected to the community?

Senior Companion Volunteers help their senior clients stay independent and involved.

Spend time together each week doing activities like:
- Weekly visits
- Watching movies or playing games
- Doing productive activities like scheduling appointments
- Visit the local senior center and get lunch or play bingo
- Help transport to medical, dental, grocery shopping or other personal errands or appointments

Volunteers Receive:

Social Services is dedicated to helping people in need become more independent. Social Services is a Division of the Health, Housing, and Human Services (H3S) Department. Through the Clackamas County Social Services Transportation Programs, we offer a variety of services to connect older adults and people with disabilities throughout the community with necessary transportation and socialization.

Description

Our transportation programs offer several different ways for individuals to volunteer. All of our volunteer opportunities utilize volunteers to provide some form of transportation to older and/or disabled adults throughout the community using their own vehicles. We provide mileage reimbursement, training and other perks for the time spent volunteering as part of our program.
