Mary Washington Hospice is seeking certified pet therapy dogs to join our volunteer program! Volunteers and their dogs visit hospice patients wherever they call home - nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and private homes.
Dogs must be certified, registered, and insured by a therapy dog organization that certifies, registers, and insures dogs. All handlers will go through the volunteer services orientation process and onboarding through the Mary Washington Hospice Volunteer Services Department.
Our service area covers Planning District 16 and volunteers are needed in all geographic regions.
