Mission Statement

The Palm Beach Shelter Dog Project was founded in 2015 as a way to network the dogs we were fostering from our local open-admission shelter, Palm Beach Animal Care & Control. Since then our mission and effectiveness have grown significantly. We not only advocate for foster and adoption but have also created programs to support dogs who often have the longest shelter stays.

Description

"Helping Palm Beach County Shelter Dogs on Their Way Home."

In the past 3 years we’ve offered grants for local rescues to help with medical needs and care. To date we have awarded over $150,000 to help over 500 dogs plus another $26,000 in veterinary care, adoption gifts and enrichment supplies for the shelter dogs. Additionally, we have personally fostered and found homes for 50 dogs from Palm Beach County Animal Care & Control. Phew! Right now we are sharing our foster journey with others by creating a short term foster program that allows members of our community to participate in saving dogs' lives in a way that is quick, easy and fun!
