Recruiting Organization: Goodwill Northern New England AmeriCorps Programs
Public Health AmeriCorps members are placed with health agencies
and nonprofits across Maine and New Hampshire to improve access to healthcare
for the most underserved populations. Members will work with these partner
agencies to develop and carry out localized public health interventions that
address issues like access to care, drug abuse and misuse, care for veterans,
health education and mental health initiatives.
Members will be connecting people to care, organizing
volunteers, running health clinics, doing
educational outreach and much more! Through their extensive service
and training, members will gain the experience needed to pursue a career in
public health.
