We have a lot of volunteers, but we need more regional chapter leaders to help us gather more people in their local communities/cities to make and give blankets to the local area shelters, clinics, and kids who need to know they matter!
Starting a chapter is a great way to make new friends with like-hearts.
You don't have to be crafty.
You do need to be friendly, willing to communicate online, via social media, and go out into your community to get volunteers, and local sponsors and build relationships with the organizations you will deliver your chapter's blankets to.
We are 100% volunteer. To be clear, there is no money to earn and no allowance. This is 100% volunteer. Each of our chapters raises their own funds for materials or gets donated blankets.
Our chapter leaders must file quarterly reports online so we know you are still active. That said, there are no quotas. One binky is better than no binkies. We know we are all holding it together at home, jobs, and more. We realize volunteer time sometimes cannot be the top priority. We appreciate ANY time you can give us.
You will need to be organized and communicate clearly. We all need to be able to write clearly, spelled well, good grammar, persuasive, warm, as you are representing all of us.
There can be no ego. The people we give blankets to have a lot they work on and we never expect thank yous or notes, etc. We quietly give.

Binky Patrol is devoted to reaching out to needy children, including victims of violent crimes, drug-addicted, ill, homeless, neglected, abused, or children experiencing trauma in any way. Binky Patrol volunteers bring a caring, loving touch by creating and delivering handmade blankets, "binkies", to enrich the children's lives and to meet their most basic needs of warmth, security and comfort. Binky Patrol's unique way of touching a child's life includes many mediums. To reach them, "binkies" are distributed through hospitals, shelters, other service organizations, and social service agencies. "Binkies" are to be given as gifts and are not recycled in the agencies.
Description
Binky Patrol's volunteers as well as chapter leaders make blankets which can be crocheted, sewn, knitted, tied, and even quilted for ill and traumatized children.
