ORGANIZATION: RSVP Polk

As a volunteer medical scribe you help physicians provide more effective and efficient care to the working uninsured. You will assist physicians by documenting findings from patient exams and assessments. This a great way to grow your resume, give back to the community and make a difference.

Preferred Qualifications
* Knowledge of medical terminology.
* Strong organizational, multitasking and time management skills
* Ability to handle high-pressure situations with professionalism, tact, and empathy.
* Excellent written & verbal communication skills
* Prior experience as a medical scribe using an EHR system or advanced computer skills

Times: 2nd and 4th Tuesdays each month. 8 am - Noon.

*If you are 55+ years of age you may qualify for additional benefits from RSVP Polk.

1 Shift

  • 08:00 AM to 12:00 PM EST
    2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month

Leading Through Experience! You've gained a lifetime of experience. Now is the time to put your skills and talents to good use by volunteering through RSVP. RSVP provides opportunities for people 55 and over to make a difference in their community through volunteer service. RSVP volunteers contribute anywhere from a few to over forty hours a week, serving through non-profit, faith-based, and governmental agencies to help meet critical community needs. RSVP offers maximum flexibility and choice to its volunteers. RSVP matches the personal interests and skills of volunteers with opportunities to help solve community problems and offers supplemental accident insurance while on duty, and on-the-job training from the agency or organization where volunteers are placed.
