Ascend Hospice of Northern Virginia is seeking professional and compassionate massage therapists to volunteer their time delivering the basic human need of touch. Research has found that touch can ease anxiety and depression, that the brain quiets in response to stress when a person's hand is held. Stress, anxiety and depression are conditions that our patients and families struggle with daily. If you possess the time and dedication we ask you to please help us support our patients and their families during this crucial time in their lives. Ascend Hospice provides training, orientation, and assistance to help support you during your time working with hospice patients.
