Are you a licensed Hairstylist or barber in Illinois?? UnityPoint Hospice is looking for a licensed hairstylist or barber to visit our patients in their homes and provide them with haircuts.

Hospice volunteers provide different types of support, talents and abilities to the patients and families they serve. Some volunteers work directly with patient care, providing much-needed respite breaks to family members, running errands and lending emotional support and companionship. Other hospice volunteers assist with fundraising efforts, special projects and clerical work that supports clinical services and patient care.
We offer volunteer training that provides in-depth education about the end-of-life process, care and comfort measures and the goals of UnityPoint hospice.

We believe everyone deserves quality end-of-life care surrounded by their loved ones. UnityPoint Hospice in the Quad Cities and Muscatine is founded on the premise the patient and family are given the ability to choose the care options that will bring dignity, hope and comfort to the remainder of the patient's life. This individualized patient- and family-centered care is provided to eastern Iowans within a 60-mile radius of the Quad-Cities/Muscatine area. Hospice charges Medicare and private insurance to provide free hospice care to patients at the end of life. We believe in treating the whole person - not just the illness. Patients receive ongoing assessment, support and coordination to help them pursue the goal of quality living. Families are also given the support and resources they need to work through their challenges and grief.
