CHILDHOPE-ZAMBIA a non -profit organization working with vulnerable and most marginalized children to reduce poverty and improve the living standards of children in the rural areas of Zambia.

Justification

Despite economic growth during the last few years, poverty levels in Zambia remain very high with 68 percent of the population living below the poverty datum line; one of the highest maternal mortality rates in the world (729 deaths for 100,000 births); very high under-five mortality rate (182 per 1,000 births); and only one medical doctor for 1,000 inhabitants. The incidence of extreme poverty is very high in rural areas where two thirds of the population is extremely poor compared to a third in the urban areas. CHILDHOPE-ZAMBIA is looking for child sponsors and child sponsorship volunteer managers who are based in any part of the World. We are looking for sponsorship volunteer managers with a passion for the work we do. The sponsorship volunteer managers will work remotely and be responsible for all the sponsorship programmes for CHILDHOPE-ZAMBIA. The sponsorship volunteer managers will identify individual/families, groups etc. to sponsor the children.The sponsorship volunteer managers will be required to open a an online sponsorship page where the pictures of the sponsored children will be displayed and the kind of support the children are receiving .The sponsors will work with CHILDHOPE-ZAMBIA to fight poverty among these children.The sponsors will be able to provide support in education,health,nutrition,food,clean water and sanitation,child protection economic empowerment and child welfare just to mention but a few. The sponsors are welcome to provide support in any areas they feel like beyond what we have stated. As a sponor,you will connect with children,their families and the communities to fight poverty and enable the children to live and thrive. Your sponsorship will enable you know the background of the family,name of the child and we will provide you with the picture and regular update about the child you are sponsoring. As a sponsor, the children will be able to write you letters, thank you. This could also come from parents and other family members and you can visit the child you are sponsoring at any time. As a sponor,you will be able to view photos and learn more about your child,read and write letters to the child,manage your giving and connect with other sponsors to create more impact.
