Keith House volunteer hosts work in groups of 2-5 to welcome visitors who have rented the space for meetings and events. The visitors are from area nonprofits and community groups. Duties may include opening the building and checking that it is ready for visitors, assisting the event organizers with set up, answering questions, and making sure Keith House policies are respected before, during, and after the event. Shifts vary in length and time of day depending on bookings. Volunteers will receive comprehensive training to prepare them for the job. The peace and tranquility of Keith House enhance the volunteer experience as well as that of visitors. Volunteers help us make Keith House accessible to everyone.

Description

A gift from Meta Alice Keith Bratten (1926-2007) to the people of Fort Worth, Keith House is a modern-day meeting house. Its simplicity makes room for whatever states of mind visitors bring, while its serenity may foster more meaningful conversations. Soon to be the site of a Skyspace installation by artist James Turrell (American, b. 1943), Keith House currently welcomes non-profits and community groups for meetings, performances, conversations, events, and other gatherings.
