ORGANIZATION: Down Syndrome Association of Northeast Ohio

Bring out your inner child! Our Early Learners class is for students ages 3-7, integrating both children with Down syndrome and typical peers. Join our class while they learn through play and interactive lessons. Our head teacher could use some helping hands during activities and throughout class time. Assist our kids in developing literacy, early numeracy, fine & gross motor, self-help, and communication skills - all while having fun!

Classes run every Saturday from 10am-12pm from September 28 - December 14, 2024. We are looking for 4 volunteers per class time.

We would love consistent volunteers throughout the session, but would appreciate even one class or multiple class time volunteers.

Mission Statement

The Down Syndrome Association of Northeast Ohio provides support for over 1000 families and individuals with Down syndrome in the Northeast Ohio area. DSANEO is the primary resource for families and communities regarding Down syndrome, where all people with Down syndrome are accepted, included and empowered. DSANEO envisions a community where people with Down syndrome have limitless opportunities and the ability to pursue their dreams.

Description

Established in 1982, DSANEO is a not for profit organization that directly serves individuals with Down syndrome and their families from birth through adulthood - we do this through education, social engagement and activities, employment opportunities, and advocacy.
