The Volunteer works closely with the clinical staff to provide compassionate support to patients by rounding with comfort items.
- Strong verbal communication skills and professional demeanor.
- Friendly, outgoing and comfortable dealing with the potential anxiety and stress of patients and family members.
- Able to stand and walk.
- Able to comfortably move about the hospital, pushing a cart and supplies.
- Easily able to converse with a wide variety of patients in a sensitive, compassionate and caring manner.
