Looking for some regular volunteers to help out on Mondays.
9-12 shift:
This is a no client contact type of shift.
Sorting and Stocking shelves (non-perishables)
Organizing and stocking fridges/freezer
Date checking, sorting, stocking rescue food
Varying jobs....some include light to moderate lifting.
12-3 shift:
This is a shopping shift (client contact) - help clients shop, bag groceries.
Could use a Spanish translator too!
3-6 shift:
This is a shopping shift (client contact).
Looking for a loader - help clients load groceries into vehicles.
Involves moderate lifting.
Also looking for a shopper - help clients shop by bagging groceries.
If you are interested in coming in to check us out...and try out a shift...please let us know.

Thank you for your interest in hosting a food drive to feed families in your community! Messiah Community Food Shelf, in partnership with 360 Communities, needs donations for families within the community who are experiencing food insecurity due to life complications, increased rent, fuel, and food costs.
Description
As a Community Food Shelf, we’ve been committed to providing healthy, nourishing food to our customers to promote strong, thriving, and wholesome families since 2004. Together with 360 Communities we provide support to our local community to promote long-term self-sufficiency. Our food shelf offers a wide variety of healthy food options like fresh produce, and whole grains and items that are low in fat, sodium, and sugar. These offerings help meet family’s nutritional needs and contribute to better community health overall.
Messiah Community Food Shelf, located in Lakeville, MN, distributes on average 32,000 pounds of food each month to almost 300 families. Families can schedule an appointment to shop in a healthy, multi-ethnic food shelf Monday 12-6, Tuesday 10-6, Thursday 10-6, Saturday 9-12.
