Recruiting Organization: Ledgerback Digital Commons Research Cooperative

Ledgerback Digital Commons Research Cooperative (Ledgerback) is seeking a Volunteer Governance Analyst to join our small and dynamic team. Your primary responsibilities will be to assess Decentralized Autonomous Organizations (DAOs) with the DAO Index questionnaire, and write blog posts about the DAO Index.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• Holds an undergraduate degree or currently enrolled in graduate studies in a social science or humanities discipline
• Prior experience in academic, industry, or independent research
• Interest in research areas covering digital governance or organization design (e.g., Decentralized Autonomous Organizations (DAOs), digital self-governance, online communities, Web3, blockchain, platform cooperatives)
• Prior experience developing a survey (or questionnaire) instrument or using a rating system
• Knowledgeable and enthusiastic about DAOs and making the DAO ecosystem better

Responsibilities:

• Create Assessments: Use the DAO Index questionnaire to assess DAOs
• Blogging: Writing blog posts about assessments with the DAO Index questionnaire
• Review Assessments: Review DAO Index assessments made by other assessors.
• Provide Feedback: Assist with the development of the DAO Index questionnaire by providing feedback on your assessments
• Annotate Materials: Annotate materials referenced in DAO index assessments on Hypothes.is
