Environmental Program Team Lead
Job Description:
The Environmental Program Team Lead is responsible for coordinating and leading ASCENDtials’ Climate Cares Beach and Highway Cleanups. This role ensures the success of these events by recruiting, organizing, and motivating volunteers to actively participate.
Job Responsibilities:
- Organize and schedule regular Climate Cares Beach Cleanup and Climate Cares Highway Cleanup events. * Create detailed event plans that include timelines, tasks, and required resources.
- Secure all necessary permits and equipment for each event.
- Maintain a database of potential volunteers and their contact information.
- Communicate effectively with volunteers to provide event details and confirm their participation.
- Lead a team of volunteers during cleanup events, assigning tasks and ensuring a smooth workflow.
- Motivate and engage volunteers to actively participate and make a positive impact.
- Collaborate with local organizations and businesses to promote the event and secure sponsorship
opportunities.
- Track and document the progress of the cleanup events, including the amount of waste collected and volunteer participation
Job Requirements:
✓ Bachelor's degree in environmental science,
conservation, and/or experience in project management (preferred).
✓ Experience in event planning and volunteer coordination.
✓ Passion for environmental conservation and
sustainability.
✓ Strong communication and leadership skills.
✓ Organized and detail-oriented.
✓ Ability to work independently and in a team.
