We at CCS/Volunteer Chore are looking for Volunters to drive clients to medical appointments and shoppping. Our clients are the elderly and disabled, unable to drive themselves. Our mission is to help these people remain self-sufficient enough to keep them in their homes.

Volunteer Services (VS) began in 1981 as a community-based, grassroots program designed to provide free basic, essential services for low-income seniors and disabled adults who don't have access to or qualify for assistance from other programs or sources. Serving as a safety net for people who would otherwise "fall through the cracks," the programs primary goal is to help its clients stay in their own homes safely and with dignity while providing a link to the communities in which they live.
Volunteers provide a variety of in-home services that the elderly and adult disabled are no longer able to do for themselves. The hours are flexible and the work is simple. There are also one time opportunities for on-call requests and group projects. Services may include: housework, transportation, shopping, yardwork, minor home repair, moving assistance.
