**About Us:**
The Wright Cause Urban Youth Conservation (TWCUYC) is a charitable organization founded in 2022 to empower underserved youth and create a future where every young person has access to the support and resources they need to realize their full potential.

**Role Description:**
As a Volunteer Board Member at TWCUYC, you will hold a "working" position, actively contributing your skills, expertise, and commitment to guide our organization's mission and operations. This leadership role involves working alongside other dedicated board members and staff to make critical decisions, provide strategic insights, and drive the success of our programs.

**Key Responsibilities:**
- Actively participate in board meetings, contributing to discussions and decision-making.
- Provide guidance and expertise in your area of specialization, whether it be finance, marketing, legal, or another relevant field.
- Collaborate with the board and staff to set strategic goals, develop policies, and monitor progress.
- Attend and support fundraising events and initiatives to help secure the financial resources needed to achieve our mission.
- Offer mentorship and support to the executive director and staff, as appropriate.
- Act as an advocate for TWCUYC within your professional and personal networks.
- Engage in governance responsibilities, including financial management oversight and compliance with legal and ethical standards.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of long-term strategies and sustainability plans.
- Promote a culture of inclusivity, transparency, and accountability within the organization.

- Expertise in a relevant field such as finance, legal, marketing, nonprofit management, or another area.

Description

Through our unwavering commitment to youth empowerment, The Wright Cause Urban Youth Conservation strives to provide support, guidance, and opportunity for youth. We are dedicated to creating a future where every young person’s potential is realized, their dreams are celebrated, and their voices are amplified.

Resilience Rising- Transitional Housing for Youth Impacted by HIV- We are committed to providing a haven and empowering opportunities for young adults aged 18-24 whom HIV impacts. We believe in their strength, resilience, and ability to overcome challenges. The young adults participating in Resilience Rising may be impacted by HIV in various ways, even if they are not HIV-positive.

One Hour, Infinite Impact- We believe in the power of youth to create positive change in their communities. Our program, "One Hour, Infinite Impact," is designed to engage and empower young people to serve their assigned communities in the most needed areas of the Dallas-Fort Worth area.

EmpowerED for Life -Our goal is to transform the lives of at-risk youth and individuals with a history in the criminal justice system. Our program, "EmpowerED for Life," is dedicated to reducing recidivism, preventing prison involvement, and equipping participants with crucial life skills, including soft skills.
