Our community is in need of Food Distribution Volunteers to help those who are food insecure. Get out in our community and help distribute fresh produce, healthy groceries, and staple pantry items at one of Redwood Empire Food Bank's food distribution sites: https://volunteer.refb.org/need/detail/?need_id=743042
Activities could include:
- Assisting with setting up and cleaning up
- Unloading, sorting, bagging, and distributing food to participants
- Volunteers will help load produce items, canned food boxes, bread, and diapers for participants
Please keep in mind:
- You will have to stand for your volunteer shift but are able to take a break whenever you need one. If you need accommodations, please let the coordinator know.
- We’d love to have volunteers that can commit to reoccurring sites but it is not required.
- You do not need to be bilingual but if you are that is awesome!
- Volunteers should wear comfortable, closed-toe shoes.
- Our main goal is to feed the community and make sure you have a great time volunteering.
- We ask that you read the volunteer FAQ before volunteering
Please contact (707)523-7900 if you have any questions or view our entire volunteer shift schedule here: https://volunteer.refb.org/need/

Mission Statement
Our mission is simple - to end hunger in our community - but how we accomplish our goal is surprisingly complicated.
Description
We Can’t Do It Without You
Volunteers are critical to ending hunger in our community. Every month we rely on their generous support, which would otherwise require the work of 45 full-time staff members.
Spend a two or three-hour shift with friends, family, and colleagues and help feed our neighbors in need. Build team spirit and company morale by volunteering with your business or organization.
Check out the many fun and rewarding ways to make a real and lasting difference in the lives of those facing hunger throughout our community in Sonoma, Mendocino, and Lake County.
