Hummingbird Studio is a free, inclusive community art program for individuals of all ages and abilities.
In-person art studio volunteers help with set-up, clean-up, and any individual support another artist may need. Also, volunteers help to foster a safe, welcoming, and creative environment for other artists. We are located in Friendship Hall at the YWCA in Olympia, WA. We have sessions on Mondays and Thursdays from 10-11:30am, 12:30-2pm, and 2:30-4pm.
Starting April 2, we will have sessions on Tuesdays: 10-11:30am, 12:30-2, and 3-4:30pm. Please note that the last session on Tuesdays is different from the other days. This is to accommodate middle and high school students to attend after school. We need volunteers of all ages.

Mission Statement
To provide individuals with disabilities the support needed to lead full and meaningful lives.
Description
Kokua Services, located in Thurston County, Washington, is a non-profit organization serving individuals with disabilities since 1990. We provide state-contracted residential supported living services to 45 individuals in their own homes. Paid Direct Service Professional caregivers assist individuals with daily tasks of living allowing them to live as independently as possible in their community. We also provide state-contracted respite and community guide services to individuals with disabilities. These services provide fun outings to help get individuals out into the community and to provide supports to work on personal goals. Our two community programs focus on social inclusion. Hummingbird studio is an art program in downtown Olympia open to individuals of ALL abilities, and LEAD (Literacy & Education for Adults with Disabilities) is a tutor/mentor program that matches college students with individuals with disabilities for one-on-one tutoring.
