Help make this holiday season magical at the Pennsylvania Trolley Museum!
Each weekend from Thanksgiving to Christmas, the PA Trolley Museum invites its guests to participate in our annual Santa Trolley event. Visitors have the chance to see festive toy train layouts, make a holiday craft, and take a trolley ride with Santa!
We are looking for volunteers to check tickets, serve refreshments, help with crafts, and help out in a variety of fun ways. Extra enthusiastic volunteers can also sign up to "elf" and accompany guests on Santa’s trolley rides.
You are more than welcome to volunteer together with your friends, family, club, or other large group- just indicate that you have a group that's interested in the application linked below! This year's event runs on Nov. 29 & 30 and Dec. 1, 7, 8, 14, 15, 21, & 22.
Express interest here, on VolunteerMatch, and our volunteer coordinator will be in contact with you.
**Please be advised that all volunteers must be a minimum 14 years of age. All volunteers must provide their PA Clearances per PA State Law**

Mission Statement
The Pennsylvania Trolley Museum's mission is to communicate the story of Pennsylvania's Trolley Era to a diverse audience through the preservation, interpretation, and use of its collection of electric railway and railroad equipment, associated artifacts and photo/document archives, and to ensure that its visitors have an enjoyable and rewarding educational experience.
Description
The Pennsylvania Trolley Museum has evolved over the past 50 years from a handful of volunteers and a few trolleys to over 600 members and approximately 50 trolleys preserved at its museum in Washington, Pennsylvania. Visitors get a unique opportunity to actually experience the Trolley Era first hand by riding the Museum's beautifully restored streetcars for a scenic four-mile ride.
At our museum, volunteers of all ages work to preserve and share transportation history through trolley operation, educational tours, and maintenance and restoration work with our collections. We are also looking for volunteers with a variety of interests to help with special events and a wide range of museum operations. Anyone with a passion for trolleys, regional history, or simply serving one's community is welcome to join us!
