A marketing strategist for The Shopp is a skilled professional dedicated to creating and implementing effective marketing campaigns and strategies to raise awareness and spread the word about the boutique's mission. Here are some key responsibilities and characteristics of a marketing strategist for The Shopp:

  1. Mission Alignment: The marketing strategist understands and deeply connects with The Shopp's mission of providing dignity and hope through clothing and essential resources to those in need. They are passionate about the cause and can convey that passion to others.

  2. Audience Analysis: They conduct thorough research to identify and understand the target audience, including those affected by sex trafficking, domestic violence, homelessness, and addiction, as well as potential donors and volunteers.

  3. Brand Development: The strategist works on refining and strengthening The Shopp's brand identity, ensuring it effectively communicates the boutique's purpose, values, and impact. This includes creating a compelling and consistent visual and messaging strategy.

  4. Campaign Planning: They develop marketing campaigns and initiatives that align with The Shopp's goals, whether it's promoting donation drives, fundraising events, or showcasing success stories of individuals helped by the organization.

  5. Digital Presence: In today's digital age, the marketing strategist leverages online platforms, including social media, websites, and email marketing, to reach a wider audience. They create and manage engaging content to tell the organization's story.

  7. Data Analysis: Using data analytics tools, they measure the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and adjust strategies based on performance metrics. This allows for continuous improvement and optimization of outreach efforts.

  8. Community Engagement: The strategist actively engages with the local community to create awareness and build support. This may involve participating in community events, giving talks, or organizing volunteer drives.

  9. Fundraising Support: In addition to spreading the word, they may assist in developing fundraising strategies, helping The Shopp secure the necessary resources to fulfill its mission.

  10. Advocacy: The marketing strategist is an advocate for the cause, promoting empathy, understanding, and support for those facing hardships and the importance of The Shopp's work in the community.

A skilled marketing strategist for The Shopp plays a pivotal role in creating a positive and far-reaching impact, ensuring that the organization can reach those in need and garner the support necessary to continue its mission effectively.

Mission Statement

Empowering lives through clothing and essential resources, The Shopp Thrift Boutique intentionally repurposes donations to provide dignity and hope to those affected by sex trafficking, domestic violence, homelessness, and addiction.

Description

We are a not-for-profit thrift shop and currently partner with other like-minded organizations in the Portland area to provide clothing and basic essentials for survivors coming out of sex trafficking as well as other inhumane and abusive situations.

Community

We believe in the strength of community. We rely on donations from those in our city so that we can continue to provide resources to those in need.

Economic

Your dollar goes further at The Shopp. Not only can you score vintage items for less than you would other places, but you can feel good about how you are spending your money.

If you want to support a greater need, check out our CASES initiative. We have given out over 75 suitcases and hundreds of individual shopping experiences.

Volunteers are the key to our success by helping us process donations, organize The Shopp and welcome the community.
