Save to Favorites

ORGANIZATION: National Park Service

Homestead National Historical Park is looking for volunteers who are interested in transcribing PDF images into typed text. The PDF images explore the experiences and legacies of black homesteaders through the legal documentation they filed for their homestead claim. Transcribing these documents into a text-based document on Microsoft Word or a similar program, will make them accessible to all visitors to the park webpage. The Black Homesteading Project: Land Case File Transcription team will receive digital copies of PDFs that they will then type into a word processing document.
