Thank you for your interest in sharing your career journey with Boys Hope Girls Hope scholars!
If you can say yes to two of the five questions, we want you for one of our monthly career panels.
- Are you a college (2 or 4 year) graduate?
- Do you have unique post-secondary training?
- Were you a first generation college student?
- Have you been out of college 3-15 years?
- Do you love inspiring youth to think about your chosen career?
These Career Panels are held in-person at Aurora Central HS (Peoria and 11th Ave.). You will be provided preparation instructions prior to your speaking date. Generally, you will introduce yourself and tell a little about your career journey. It is usually a Q & A facilitated discussion for approximately 45 minutes. Many Career Panelists share a success and challenge that impacted how they arrived where they are today.

Description
At BHGHCO, education is seen as the key to self-sufficiency and college is the avenue towards a career for a stable future. For over 25 years, BHGHCO has been providing a pathway to a successful future for young people who have the ambition and determination to achieve a college education and a life of service but do not have the supports to reach this goal. We believe that motivated children can overcome significant barriers and develop their inherent talents when engaged in strong relationships and opportunities for academic and character development. By opening a doorway of opportunity for these young scholars through year-round college-preparatory supports, they are able to thrive in an environment that empowers them and allows them to develop their life skills and strengths.

- Our Career Panels are held 3:30-5:00pm one Wednesday per month throughout the Academic Year at Aurora Central HS. Photo and Resume or blurb about yourself will be needed in advance of presenting at Career Panel.
